Name: Goku

A Saiyan from the planet Vegeta, he is sent to Earth as an infant so he can prepare it to be sold. Like
all Saiyans, he has the ability to change into a huge gorilla-like beast when there is a full moon.
However, when he was young his tail falls out, and he is no longer able to change into the demonic
creature. He could have easily eliminated all life on Earth, but he hit his head when he was young and
forgot his mission. He now fights for the side of good, as the brainwashing had now been cured.
Goku married Chi-Chi, daughter of Ox king; and together they had two sons, Gohan and Goten.

Name: Vegeta

Born on the planet bearing his own name, Vegeta has the bloodline to become a super-elite saiyan.
A henchman of Freeza, he is regarded as one of the greatest fighters in the universe. Along with
Goku, Radditz, and Nappa, Vegeta is one of the only Saiyans to survive the destruction of their
homeworld. He is extremely jealous of Goku's superior fighting ability, and actually helps him from
time to time so that he still has someone to compete with. Vegeta craves nothing more then ultimate
power.

 Name: Trunks
Race: Half-Saiyan, Half-Human
Hair: Purple
Eyes: Purple
Trunks is the first child of Vegeta and Bulma. There are two Trunks in the DB universe. "Future
Trunks" comes from a parallel universe 14 years in the future where evil androids rule the Earth. He
goes back in time after the death of Freeza to prepare the Z warriors for the androids' arrival. So as
not to prevent his own birth, he tells no one of his heritage, except Goku. "Chibi Trunks" is born after
Future Trunks returns to his own time. He likes to hang out with Goten and they are very good
friends. When he and Goten are together, Trunks has a tendency to get them in trouble. Trunks is
also sad that he does not have a brother like Goten does (Gohan). Trunks has purple hair and
displays extreme levels of power, Trunks reached Super Saiyajin when he was eight. Despite
Trunks' ability to get Goten and himself in trouble, he means well.

Name: Piccolo
 Race: Namek
Hair: None
Eyes: Black
The Piccolo in the DBZ series is the sole offspring of Piccolo-Daimao from the original. Like his
father, his intentions are evil. However, when a greater evil, Raditz, threatens the Earth, he turns to
the side of good and helps Goku. He later trains Gohan, and the kid becomes the only person that
Piccolo cares for. Capable of regenerating body parts and manipulating his size and shape, Piccolo is
a formidable fighter.

Name: Gohan
Race: Half-Saiyan, Half-Human
 Hair: Black
Eyes: Black
Son of Goku, he is trained by Piccolo to use his many hidden powers. He looks up to Piccolo for
being such a great fighter, and is always trying to immitate him. Although he has the potential to
become the most powerful being in the universe, he can be beaten because he cannot fully utilize his
strength yet. Unlike Goku, his tail was never surgically removed, so he is still capable of turning into a
Saiyan under the light of a full moon.

Name: Goten
 Race: Half-Saiyan, Half-Human
Hair: Black
Eyes: Black
Goten is the second son of Goku and Chi-Chi. He and Trunks spend most of their time together, and
are very good friends. Goten exhibited high power when he went Super Saiyan at the age of seven.
He bears a very strong resemblance of Goku. Goten has the same hair that Goku has, he also wears
a miniture version of Goku's karate Gi. Goten is usually happy, but has a specialty for throwing
tantrums to get something he wants.

Name: Kurillin
 Race: Human
Hair: Black (shaved)
Eyes: Black
Kurillin is the most powerful human on Earth, although his power is still dwarfed by Goku and
Gohan. He was once Goku's rival when they were young, but they later became best friends. He is a
Buddhist monk, and shaves his head by choice. (He does grow some hair later in the series though)
Kurillin is willing to sacrifice his life for Earth, and whenever possible he is at Goku's side.

Name: Tenshinhan
 Race: Human
Hair: Black (shaved)
Eyes: Black
Tenshinhan, also known as Tien, is an Earthling warrior. He is about Goku's height and pretty
muscular. Tien also has three eyes, two normal eyes, and then one stranger looking eye on the top of
his head. Tien is good friends with Chao-Zu, he is also his bodyguard. Tien is the developer of the
technique known as the Solar Flare (a fantasically bright light that is formed by fanning one's hands
across their face). The "three-eyed man", even though he is not shown often, still plays a decent roll
in DragonBallZ.

Name: Pan
 Race: 1/4 Saiyan, 3/4 Human
Hair: Black
Eyes: Black
Pan, also known as Pan-Chan, is Goku's granddaughter. She is the most powerful female in all of
Dragonball. Pan makes her first appearance in the first episode of Dragonball GT, she is about 11 or
so. Pan is 1/4 Sayain, and she is Gohan and Videl's daughter. Pan gets her name, Pan-Chan,
because "chan" in Japanese means "cute", as in young. She does not seem to resent the name. Pan
also refuses to refer to Trunks as Trunks-san ("san" is a Japanese suffix of respect for elders). Pan is
also very adventurous, and can get into trouble, usually with Trunks and Goten. Goten, Trunks, and
Pan go everywhere together, she is almost like the little sister they never had.

Name: Bulma

Hair: Purple
Eyes: Purple
Bulma is the second character (after Goku) to be introduced into the Dragon Ball series. She hits
Goku (and the fish he was carrying) while driving through the woods, searching for the mystical
"Dragonballs." She eventually persuades Goku to come along with her, and thought that he would
make a good bodyguard. Bulma has purple hair, and is the mother of Trunks. She is a genius with all
sorts of electronics, alien and domestic.

Name: Chi-Chi
Race: Human
 Hair: Black
Eyes: Black
Chi-Chi is mother to Gohan and Goten and the spouse of Goku. She feels very strongly about
Gohan's studies and will stop at nothing to get him to continue his work. Chi-Chi's father is the
Ox-King. She mainly spends her time worrying about Gohan's academics. Chi-Chi is very uptight,
but she makes a good story, and a good "Mom".

Name: Videl

Hair: Black
Eyes: Blue
Videl is Gohan's girlfriend and assistant and is also in the same high school class as Gohan. Gohan
taught Videl how to fly and fight, but she cannot manipulate energy. Chi-Chi wants Videl to marry
her son, and does not hide her intentions. Videl and Gohan everntually marry, and have a baby girl
named Pan. |
